God saw that she was getting tired And a cure was not meant to be. So he put his arms around her And whispered "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer And watched her fade away. Although we loved her dearly We could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating And a warm loving heart to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us That he only takes the best.Rita Perkins, a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother passed away on July 18, 2009. We will cherish her memory forever in our hearts.
Too many memories to list!! So I will just add that everyone has a purpose on this earth, and Granny's purpose I believe this last year was to show us that we all have the will to fight and to never give up!! Such a strong willed lady she was, and she has certainly taught us all so much!
Although you are gone now Granny, you certainly will never be forgotten!!!!! Love ya!

*My fondest memeory of you that will never go away is your loyalty to The Lord. The way you would pray every single night for your family & friends, it is inspiring and beautiful.

Granny you were the most stubbornest woman I knew, but also the most strongest. You always made me smile by the silly things you'd say and the super cute jokes you'd always make sure to tell me. I always looked forward seeing you each time I came home from Kingston. I'll always remember the times we'd go out for breakfast you, mom and I. and those times I'd skip my third class in high school and us three would go out for lunch. I remember going to one restaurant ordering drinks and looking through the menu and not seeing anything we liked so we just walked out without telling anyone lol or when I would miss placement just to go to your house and visit you for the afternoon. I'll miss you everyday and miss the talks we had about everything. I hope that poppa was there to hold your hand as you entered into the clouds. I feel so blessed to have called you my Granny. I'll love you and miss you always.
xoxo

I know that I didn't know you that well but I'm happy I got the chance to meet you. I knew you as Misty's granny. She talked about you all the time. I could tell that you were an amazing woman and had a heart of gold.
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with your family. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.
